The word “LASER” is an abbreviation for “Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation”. The European Laser Academy and the European Laser Clinics do work with different types of Laser devices. For stimulating healing processes, we usually use so called “low level laser therapy” (LLLT).

The laser devices are divided into various performance groups, essentially groups 1 – 4. The professional therapist will work either by class 3B or class 4 devices depending on the clinical situation and individual health issues of the patient.

The word “LLLT” is an abbreviation for “Low Level Laser Therapy”. In the medical and scientific literature this term may be substituted by: Healing Laser, Cold Laser, Photo biomodulation (PBM), Soft Laser or others.

LLLT is a treatment with low-energy laser beams and is used with good success in human and veterinary medicine. In traditional Chinese medicine, laser light therapy works on the known acupuncture points, but also has many positive effects on the tissue and cell metabolism.

The LLLT treatments are pain-free and extraordinary well tolerated.

The laser radiation consists of excited light rays of only one wavelength / colour. This is called “monochromatic light in physics. The wavelengths used in transdermal applications and in TCM laser treatments are in the range of visible red light and in the near infrared range that is no longer perceptible to the human eye. The human eye can only recognize the colours of the rainbow.

The “Light needle” is a pain-free treatment by “low level laser irradiation” of circumscribed areas or acupuncture points. The laser radiation consists of excited light rays. The laser treatment by multiple optic fibres is most often called “laser needle” or “light needle”. The “laser needle” is a device with several laser diodes that can be used simultaneously. Modern, powerful laser needle devices work with up to 12 laser diodes simultaneously.

The integrative holistic concept of the European Laser Academy and the European Laser Clinics are targeted on the individual health issues of the patient. The experienced team will develop a specific treatment concept with each patient based on the individual history, clinical examination and targeted diagnostic methods.

In acute situations like strain trauma one to four appointments may be sufficient, in chronic diseases such as auto-immune disorders a treatment period of many months or even years may be necessary.
